What We've Been Up To This Week at Static After Dark

Hey everyone! Another week down, and we've got so much to share about what's been happening behind the scenes.

So here's the real talk: we're still kind of winging this whole podcasting thing. We're only five episodes in, juggling day jobs, and somehow finding time to make this happen. There's been a lot of late nights, a lot of research, and definitely some moments where we look at our equipment and go "wait, how do we do this again?" But that's the fun part—we're learning as we go, and every week we get a little better at this.

What goes on behind the scenes is honestly wild. We're talking deep dives into archives, cross-referencing sources, going down rabbit holes because something doesn't add up, and then trying to piece it all together into something that makes sense and actually grabs you. True crime cases, unexplained phenomena, those mysteries that keep you up at night—we're researching all of it because we genuinely need to understand these stories before we can tell them to you. Some weeks, the research alone feels like we're solving our own mystery just to talk about the actual mystery, if that makes sense.

And the best part? This is a passion project. We do this because we love it. Every single week, Chris and Lucy are working on bringing you a new episode, and I'm digging through everything I can find to make sure we've got the story right. We're not doing this for fame or fortune (clearly), we're doing it because mysteries are genuinely captivating and we want to share that with people who get it—people like you.
